The War on Normal People

Focusing on domestic issues, the book discusses technological change, automation, job displacement, the U.S. economy, and what Yang describes as the need for a universal basic income (UBI) in the style of a political candidate book.

This was Andrew Yang's campaign book during the 2020 primary season. Reading this was a key reason I supported him in the primary, and went on to visit my first campaign rally in November 2019 — not motivated so much by his argument for a Universal Basic Income, but by his ability to unpack and understand a broad range of issues facing America in logical manner.
