The internet is supposed to make sharing information easier, but link rot means websites disappear from time to time. This page contains some files I've collected over time related to projects where information is public or can be made publicly available, but might not otherwise be indexed on the internet.

SEPTA Broad Street Line (BSL) City Hall Reverse Signaling Project

To support modernization of the City Hall station on SEPTA's Broad Street Line, two of the four tracks will be closed for long-term outages. This necessitates improvements to Fairmount Interlocking and the installation of two-way signals on the express tracks.

The latest available information shows that proposals from contractors are due by September 1st, 2024.

This is of particular interest to me because I use the Fairmount [B1] station several times a week, which is the only station on this project to lose all local service for an extended period (in one direction at a time). The Fairmount station is also unlike other stations on the BSL in that it has Ridge-Spur [B3] service on a separate platform, and the plans hint at diverting Express [B2] service to this 2-car platform. This project is also scheduled at a time possibly overlapping the USA's 250th Anniversary, which is expected to draw many tourists to Philadelphia and add strain to the SEPTA system.
